Feeling Inspired
For the past seven months I have been very inspired and excited to make art. This is the best I have felt about my creative practice in a long time. Having a new space in which to explore and create has really got me focused and motivated. I love my studio. Although I’m only there about two days a week I constantly feel anticipation for the times I’m able to go to my studio. I completely lose myself to my art while I am there. This feels so good.
Recently I have begun combining the three new areas of artmaking that I have become interested in during the past two years - cartoneria (paper mache sculpture), acrylic painting and quilling. Here is my first completed sculpture that uses all three techniques.
